We work in a very hands-on, collaborative and fun environment where your ideas are not only heard, but make it into your favorite stores.  

Our ideal candidate has some combination of interest in following categories: accessories design, graphic design, product design, package design, and/or print design.  You have a solid understanding and innate interest in fashion and beauty brands. You stay on top of the latest trends and have the foresight to see what is coming next.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Accessories Design, Graphic Design, Package Design.

  • Design and produce artwork that meets art directive in a timely manner. Includes product renderings, photo retouching, pattern design, technical files, and structural specifications.

  • Design media in a wide variety of styles that are appropriate for the need.

  • Delivers designs that demonstrate a developed understanding of the client specifics.

  • Interacts with Brand Strategists to collaborate on client deliverables.

  • Assists in creating presentations for the client in a clear and direct manner.

  • Research industry trends to support an educated point of view.

  • Bring new and relevant ideas to the discussion table. 

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Strong understanding of color theory, typography, perspective/space relationships, and page composition.

  • Strong understanding of the printing process, photo retouching, illustration, typography, layout, grid structures, technical execution, and product design.

  • Fluid understanding of the Adobe Creative suite including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.

  • Based on direction, is able to produce renderings that visually communicate a concept, develop patterns/other artwork.

  • Active contribution as a team member and support to junior designers.

  • Create die-line files and structural specifications with fastidious attention to detail.

  • Works in an organized manner with forethought to future referencing and use of files.

  • Able to take direction but also ask directed questions. 

  • A developed sense of the fashion and accessories market. 

  • Demonstrates initiative in client-driven designs.

  • Effectively handle multiple projects at once.

  • Demonstrates initiative in developing additional skill sets to improve the Verge Creative offering.
